The Power of Simplicity: How I Built a Six-Figure Coaching Business Using a Simple Funnel Without Overwhelm
An image of a computer with a graphic and arrow pointing upwards, with business people high-fiving in the backgraound, demonstrating the power of simplicity.

When I first started my coaching business, I was full of ideas and passion—but I was also overwhelmed. Like many new coaches, I thought that in order to hit six figures, I needed to offer everything to everyone. The truth? That approach left me burnt out and frustrated, with little to show for my efforts.

It wasn’t until I embraced the power of simplicity that everything shifted.

I realized that I didn’t need 10 different offers or complicated funnels to grow my business. What I needed was a simple, structured plan that allowed me to focus on delivering value and building trust with my audience. That’s exactly what I did—and it took my business to six figures. Here’s how the power of simplicity helped me build my 6-figure coaching business, and how it can help you too!

The Power of Simplicity

The 3-Step Blueprint That Changed Everything

Here’s the simple blueprint I used to build my coaching business, and it’s something you can use, too.

  1. Start with a Free Opt-In
I began by creating a free opt-in—something that delivered immediate value and solved a small but important problem for my ideal client. This allowed me to build trust and start growing my email list. If you’re trying to figure out how to get clients, this is your first step: create a lead magnet that speaks to the specific needs of your audience.
  2. Funnel Them Into a $99 Entry-Level Offer
From there, I funneled people into my $99 virtual training. I ran this training multiple times a year, each time aiming for 30 participants. This low-cost entry point gave clients a taste of my expertise and built deeper trust, making it easier for them to say “yes” to my higher-level offers.
  3. Offer a High-Ticket Program
Finally, I introduced my six-month, high-ticket 1:1 coaching package. By the time clients reached this point, they were already familiar with my style and confident in the value I could provide, which made enrolling them in my premium program much easier.

This simple, three-step funnel is what took my business from scattered to successful.

The Right Mindset: Progress Over Perfection

When you’re just starting out, the temptation to make everything perfect is strong. I get it—I spent months tweaking my opt-ins and programs, second-guessing every decision. But what I learned is that perfection isn’t the goal—progress is.

Your audience isn’t looking for a perfect program or a flawless opt-in. They’re looking for something that solves their problem and delivers value. The faster you can shift your mindset from “everything must be perfect” to “let’s just get started,” the sooner you’ll see results.
