Sustaining the Momentum in Your Coaching Business:
Once you have your first client, not only do your confidence and credibility get a boost, but you also have a clearer picture of what works and what doesn’t. Further, this is where you can begin to hone in on more targeted growth and marketing strategies.
Let’s break it down:
- Refine Your Client Avatar: First of all, now that you’ve had real experience, refine your ideal client profile. This will make your marketing even more efficient. Create a profile that you can print out and refer to. Drill down on their demographics but more importantly their psychographics.
- Feedback is Gold: Secondly, always ask for feedback. It helps improve your services and also opens doors for testimonials, which are excellent marketing tools. You can use easy and free surveys from Jotform, Survey Monkey or create your own in a google form.
- Networking: Whether it’s joining coaching communities, Facebook groups or attending networking events or seminars, being in the midst of like-minded professionals can provide invaluable insights and referrals.
- Diversify Your Marketing: Next, experiment with various channels. Have a blog on your website, a Facebook or LinkedIn business page, maybe start a podcast, write guest blog posts, or even consider paid advertising if the budget allows.
- Stay Updated: Without a doubt, the coaching industry evolves constantly. Regularly update your skills, techniques, and tools to stay relevant. In addition, there are plenty of workshops, webinars, course and group programs you can utilize.
- Get Help: Lastly, trying to go it alone can be isolating and extend the time it takes to learn and refine the process of getting clients and growing your business. In a lot of cases, it makes it much longer than it needs to be. Consider hiring a business coach to speed up your business success journey.
In conclusion, every step forward, no matter how small, is progress. And every new client, every feedback, and every challenge is a learning experience.
